Integration With Legacy Systems

CiEX supports both inbound and outbound connectors. Inbound connectors are written by CiEX participants and are responsible for inserting data defined in the common language into the CiEX portal. Outbound connectors are also written by participants and are called by CiEX to receive new, changed or deleted items represented in the community’s common language. Connectors make real enough time data exchange possible and also cut down on the redundant processing of full data files. Only data that has changed is communicated to a connector.  No longer must a recipient process every record – every day.  These connectors allow a sender’s or recipient’s legacy systems to interact with CiEX.

Common languages within CiEX and connectors allow for high fidelity data exchange. These two features of the CIEX platform set apart CiEX as a secure, reliable and scalable eCommerce platform. The CiEX portal provides enables participants to define their data type and create their items to drive data exchange between partners. The CiEX portal also provides participants with the ability to organize their data into hierarchical folders and also allow participants to share their items and types with other participants. It also gives participants to grant permissions on who has access to their data.
