The technology behind SellPath was designed to be flexible enough to accommodate the needs of almost any Web design methodology.  SellPath implementation is accomplished by adding small snippets of JavaScript code to each product page.  Attached to any link or button on the page, when called, the JavaScript accesses a Web service hosted by Channel Intelligence to render the appropriate page showing online and local retailer listings. This methodology works with most Web site applications with the least impact on your IT resources.

If you would like dynamic new page rendering techniques such as Flash or QuickTime for more interactivity, SellPath can be provided as a direct XML data feed.  This format allows your Web designer the ability to integrate product pages in any form.

SellPath product data is passed through a multi-step optimization process to categorize each product and unify (match it) with other instances of the same product on different Web sites.  In addition, we can optionally provide complete product attribute creation and keyword research.

Robust Hardware Architecture

SellPath services operate on a multi-layered hardware platform designed for both speed and reliability.

Channel Intelligence’s core databases hold master copies of all product information. These core databases are backed up to offsite storage regularly.

On top of this core database exists the SellPath edge database.  This holds the information needed for day-to-day operation and is organized to optimize speed. Duplicate edge databases allow for fail-over in case of problems with either edge database, so that SellPath operations are never interrupted.

We partnered with Akamai to provide content caching around the world.  This ensures that your buyers see immediate response when they click on a “Buy Now” button, with no delays due to long network connections.
