Summary: |
| Software Engineering expert that offers over 3 years of experience in Software Development and will be part of a team of web developers that design, develop and maintain the company applications. This individual works on a team of Software Developers responsible for the development and support of a commerce data interchange platform that includes web front ends, common business logic components, and a PostgresSQL data access tier.
This Software Engineer will work as part of a team that maintains existing applications as well developing new enhancements and products in line with the company strategy. The output will be well thought out, maintainable and high quality services/products that can be delivered in the time frame specified or agreed upon. Seeks to become subject matter expert and strives to improve the product/system.
This strong Software Engineer actively challenges their own and others ideas for validity and correctness without personal attachment. Actively seeks designs that, once completed, are ultimately self-sufficient allowing them to move to other tasks.
Works well under pressure, are self-starting and have strong problem solving skills.
A strong ability to seek out and understand the entire scope of the project before starting.
Actively involves others to ensure that the product/system solves the problem at hand.
Clearly understands that their knowledge ages and constantly keeps up to date with newer technologies and design methodologies.

| Duties: |
| • Design, develop and maintain complex store procedures to support different applications
• Design and optimize database schema for scalability and efficiency
• Provide technical assistance by responding to inquires from users about errors or problems about programs
• Ensure availability of data in a timely manner
• Keep abreast of new technology developments and design techniques
• Effective communication and coordination with developers and entire company

| Experience/Education: |
| • Bachelors of Science, Computer Science or equivalent field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years experience in Software Engineering/Development
• Good technical communication skills
• Strong analytic skills
• Demonstrated ability to meet milestones
|
| Technical Skills: |
| MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Languages: Java, JSP, Javascript, HTML. Delphi a plus, but not required.
• Operating Systems: Linux
• Technologies: Ajax, Struts, JAX-WS, Dojo, Jonas, JMS, CSS, XML.
