Product Managers at Channel Intelligence, are key to CIs continued growth in the e-Commerce marketplace and are charged with understanding clients and markets in order to define product strategies and to predict market needs and trends. These individuals are responsible for the definition, usage, and evaluation of their products in order to drive revenue and adoption, while helping clients maximize the value of what theyve purchased. Our Product Managers will manage and be responsible for a product line contribution. This extends from increasing the profitability of existing products to developing new products for the company. You will build products from existing ideas, and help to develop new ideas based on your industry experience and your contact with customers and prospects. You must possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time in the market to understand customer problems, and enjoy finding innovative solutions for the broader market.
Product Managers communicate with all areas of the company. You will work with development to define product release requirements and marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, the benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working with the sales channel and key customers.

| Duties: |
| Key Responsibilities:
Determine and ensure profitability of the product line
Build business cases and detailed business plans for each existing product, and subsequent releases, to ensure maximum return on the investment of time and resources utilized on the product
Demonstrate and embrace hands-on management of the entire Retail product line life cycle from strategic planning to launch, and ongoing tactical maintenance activities
Drive a solution set across teams (primarily Development/Engineering, Sales, and Marketing Communications) through market requirements, product development, sales support and product positioning.
Develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan, and work with all departments to execute that plan
Lead the product line to innovative enhancements and or new products
Specify market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by ongoing visits to customers and prospects
Create and maintain user forums and internal subject matter expert teams to help strengthen future product development
Research and understand prospect problems and use this knowledge to develop product features which address those issues
Understand the technology available and how it can be utilized in our products
Become the Thought Leader and internal resource for questions regarding the product line
Analyze the sales funnel and market trends and translate the analysis in product features and benefits to ensure optimum market penetration
Conduct competitive reviews to ensure we meet or exceed the standards of our competitors for the product
Assess opportunities for new products or product functionality and recommend buy, build or partner options
Develop and maintain competitive pricing program for products based on market conditions and competitors pricing models
Create positioning statements for the product to be used in sales and marketing efforts
Assist in training sales staff on presentation of the product; participate in selective high-level demos to assist sales and to keep current with users
This position requires travel to customer and non-customer sites in North American and Europe (up to 25%) |
| Experience/Education: |
| Requirements:
7+ Years of relevant software/service marketing and product management experience
Knowledge and hands-on experience with current internet and eCommerce sales technologies, tools, and practices
Knowledge of the retail market (Online and offline), online channel sales, and sales methodologies a requirement
Computer Science or Engineering degree, or related work experience in a technical product company a strong plus
Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with others in an open setting
Must be able to advocate a point-of-view while being objective; be able to make tough decisions
Must be decisive, flexible and have strong listening skills
Expert knowledge of MS Office and other communication and presentation tools.
